This deserves way more than a quick note, but every time I try updating my blog I doze off from the pain meds, so here goes: last Sunday Bob took me to the ER for what we thought was a stomach ulcer or gall stones. The pain wasn't even that bad, I just want it diagnosed and fixed before our upcoming trip to AL for the 4th. Instead we were informed there's a 10 cm mass on my liver along with with several smaller ones and enlarged lymph nodes. A biopsy confirmed that my breast cancer has returned and spread to my liver. We came back to the hosp tonight because the pain was too bad and they'll go ahead and start chemo Tuesday. So much for my 4th of July trip to Alabama, but we're hoping that starting treatment will give me quicker relief. Sorry for the sudden news in some cases. We called as many as we were able and we hope the rest of you understand. You are all dear friends and family to us and having such a strong support system in place will enable us to direct our energies to fighting this beast again. Please pray for me, bob and especially the kids. It infuriates me how their sweet little lives are being ripped apart by this.
