The Current Economic Crisis

All the stuff going on this week with the bailout, banks crashing, etc. has pretty much reinforced my belief that Dave Ramsey has it figured out. NO DEBT, PEOPLE!

That's pretty much my answer to all of this. Standing up before the other elected leaders of our country and actually speaking the words "A $700 billion dollar loan..." ought to have these guys in Congress choking. They shouldn't even be able to get those words out. Especially when it's not THEIR money they're loaning out!

As for the rest of us... just imagine if you had no car payments or credit card debts. Would you still be as upset over the cost of gas or groceries? It might still bug you that these things cost what they do, but you probably wouldn't be sweating about how you were gonna pay for it all. If it weren't for car payments and credit cards, I wouldn't have to work. If things got tight I would just pick up some freelance work to tide us over. Life would be very different indeed. And it wouldn't have anything to do with who was in Washington.
